A growing technology services business is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition across the UK. Essex - Office based - £40,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission - £80,000 OTE - Healthcare and pension
You will take ownership of the full sales process, from prospecting and lead generation through to discovery, proposal, negotiation and contract signature. You will work closely with senior commercial and technical colleagues to develop opportunities and win new business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating new business through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn and networking
- Managing inbound leads and converting them into qualified opportunities
- Building relationships with senior decision makers
- Running discovery meetings, presentations and sales demonstrations
- Managing complex sales cycles and commercial negotiations
- Supporting high value proposals, bids and tender submissions
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, activity data and forecasts
- The successful candidate will have:
- Three to five years B2B new business sales experience
- Experience selling technology, SaaS, managed services or professional services
- A proven record of achieving sales targets
- Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills
- Experience using CRM systems and sales intelligence tools
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
