Description

We are looking for a proactive and skilled 2nd Line IT Engineer to join a rapidly growing and dynamic group. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting IT operations across multiple sites, with a primary base in Central London,  As part of a dedicated IT team, you’ll provide essential technical support to a diverse user base, including office staff, senior executives, and remote workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for all office systems, network, and communication infrastructure.
  • Manage end-user hardware provisioning, updates, and security for Windows, MacOS, and iOS devices.
  • Administer AV systems in meeting rooms, including touch screens, projectors, and printers.
  • Maintain and support network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and domain controllers.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint, and MS Teams environments.
  • Offer remote and in-person IT support, including training for staff on IT processes and systems.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to manage hardware procurement, licensing, and contracts.
  • Contribute to IT budgeting, forecasting, and strategy recommendations.
  • Maintain IT security policies and ensure compliance across systems.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Level 2 IT Engineer or System Administrator role, ideally within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of end-user computing devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones) and JAMF Pro for MacOS management.
  • Proficiency in managing and supporting Windows environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, VMware).
  • Networking expertise, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, AV solutions, and VOIP communications.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to manage IT suppliers and handle procurement processes effectively.
