Are you a seasoned Data Architect with strong experience in data warehousing and enterprise-level data strategy? This is a rewarding opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation as it undertakes a transformative journey to enhance its use of data across all functions.

You will play a leading role in shaping how data is structured, stored, integrated, and utilised to drive strategic outcomes and improve operational insight.

Location: Hybrid working (between home and office)
Contract: Initial 3 to 6-month contract, with strong potential to move into a longer-term position
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: Competitive day rate + excellent benefits (where applicable)

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and implement a robust data architecture, with a particular focus on developing and optimising a centralised data warehouse. You'll be instrumental in driving consistency, governance, and accessibility of data across multiple systems and stakeholders.

This is an initial 3 to 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extending into a longer-term position as the organisation invests in its data capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain a scalable and secure enterprise data architecture.
  • Lead the development of a central data warehouse to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Implement data governance, quality, and compliance standards, including GDPR.
  • Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Integrate disparate data sources to ensure consistency and accessibility.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to align data systems with strategic goals.
  • Champion data stewardship and help embed data best practice across the organisation.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect who can bring strong technical capability alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You should have:

  • Proven experience in data architecture, data integration, and enterprise-level data solutions.
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing and implementing data warehouses.
  • Proficiency in SQL and modern data management tools (ETL, data lakes, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data governance, quality management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to influence across functions.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CDMP or TOGAF are desirable but not essential.
