Description
We are recruiting for our client, who is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Manager to manage their school's Management Information Systems (MIS) and provide critical technical support. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of the school's data, while also supporting staff, students, and parents in their use of technology. The Data Manager will report to the Digital Learning Lead and work closely with senior stakeholders to manage the technical aspects of the school’s data and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities
MIS Management:
- Ensure the School’s MIS (iSAMS) is fully functional, and any issues are reported promptly.
- Manage the yearly system roll-over, including the import of new users, timetable updates, and class lists.
- Conduct housekeeping of the MIS database to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support on iSAMS and other integrated programmes.
- Offer occasional IT support to staff, pupils, and parents as needed.
- Monitor and amend pupil information, including timetable changes, room allocations, and reporting data.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
- Create and generate management reports and statistics as required by the school’s leadership.
- Monitor data entry stages and provide pupil tracking data to support academic progress monitoring.
- Develop custom data solutions for areas like applicant data and digital mark books.
System Development & Integration:
- Manage and develop MySchoolPortal, SurveyMonkey, and SchoolPost.
- Work with the Director of Digital Strategy to integrate MIS with other digital platforms.
- Assess new iSAMS features, advising on their implementation as appropriate.
GDPR & Data Protection:
- Maintain compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
- Keep updated on new developments in MIS and relevant systems through training and independent learning.
Collaboration & Training:
- Deliver iSAMS training to staff and other users of the MIS.
- Support the Exams Officer during key periods to manage pupil data for exam results.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience managing MIS systems, preferably iSAMS.
- Strong understanding of database management and IT support.
- Good knowledge of data protection regulations, including GDPR.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working in an educational environment.
- Experience in SQL, SSRS report writing, and database integrations (training will be provided if necessary).
