Description

We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Services Engineer to join a dynamic and growing education-focused IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to ensure that the school’s IT systems meet the needs of staff and students.
  • Support the deployment and management of end-user hardware such as desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and AV equipment.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, including servers, Wi-Fi, and cloud-based systems.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
  • Support school events and activities by ensuring IT and AV systems are available as needed.
  • Work closely with the school’s IT Manager and Senior IT Engineer, as well as collaborate with the broader managed services team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Proficiency in desktop operating systems such as Windows and Mac OSX.
  • Experience with Microsoft systems administration (Windows Server, 365, Azure).
  • Google G Suite for Education experience.
  • Basic networking skills (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLAN, switching, wireless).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a busy environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • IT certifications and educational MIS systems experience (e.g., SIMS, iSAMS).
  • Familiarity with mobile device management systems (Apple JAMF, Chromebook G-Suite).
  • Experience supporting cloud services (e.g., SaaS).
  • Prior experience working in a school environment.
