A highly regarded and high-performing secondary school in Southeast London is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to join its collaborative IT team, supporting a modern learning environment across staff and students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career or developing IT Support Analyst to join a well-structured IT service within a wider network of schools. As an IT Support Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering first-line support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring technology runs smoothly across the school. You will be part of a wider London IT Service, giving you access to a strong peer network and the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple sites and technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to staff, students and visitors, resolving issues efficiently and professionally
- Respond to and manage service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and accurate logging
- Support and maintain end-user devices including laptops, desktops and peripherals
- Assist with deployment, imaging, patching and configuration of hardware and software
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows environments
Support user account management including Active Directory and Entra ID - Assist with network troubleshooting and basic diagnostics across switches and connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate asset registers and IT documentation
Support backup checks, antivirus monitoring and general system security - Escalate more complex issues to senior IT team members where required
- Provide guidance and informal support to users on IT systems and applications
- Assist with IT setup for school events and occasional out-of-hours activities
Skills / Experience Required
- 1–2 years’ experience in an IT support or service desk role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripherals
- Experience with Windows devices and Microsoft 365 applications
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and work proactively
