An established and forward thinking education organisation in Central London is seeking an experienced IT and Digital Services Lead to oversee the delivery of high-quality IT and digital support across a multi-site environment.
This is a hands on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys remaining technically involved while coordinating a small support team. The position plays a key role in supporting teaching, learning and core business operations through reliable, secure and modern technology services.

Role purpose
The IT Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day coordination of IT support services, leading a small team and acting as the senior technical escalation point. The role has a strong focus on mobile device management, Microsoft 365 and education focused digital platforms, ensuring systems and devices are secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities
IT leadership and service delivery
• Lead and coordinate daily IT support activities across multiple sites
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex technical issues
• Provide hands on technical support alongside the team when required
• Support workload planning, service improvement and consistent service standards
• Foster a positive, professional and service focused team culture
Technical and operational responsibilities
• Lead on mobile device management platforms including Microsoft Intune, Jamf and Google Workspace
• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services in an education environment
• Oversee user onboarding and offboarding including account management and device provisioning
• Ensure systems, devices and services are secure, resilient and compliant
• Maintain high availability of IT systems during core operational periods
Educational and business support
• Deliver responsive IT support to staff and students with a strong customer service focus
• Plan and coordinate IT support for exams, events and peak academic periods
• Work closely with teaching and operational teams to understand technology needs
• Promote the effective use of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
Training and documentation
• Deliver onboarding and systems training for staff and users
• Support digital confidence and literacy across the organisation
• Produce and maintain clear user guides and technical documentation
Skills and experience
Essential
• Experience working in IT support or digital services within an education or similar environment
• Strong hands on experience with MDM solutions such as Intune, Jamf or Google Workspace
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 platforms
• Proven experience leading or coordinating a small IT support team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable
• Experience supporting examinations or large scale events
• Microsoft, Apple or Jamf certifications
