We are recruiting for our client, who is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Infrastructure Engineer. This role is essential to delivering and supporting advanced IT solutions for prestigious independent schools. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and support of critical network and security technologies. This is a hybrid role, with regular visits to the Gloucestershire office and occasional travel to client sites offering a range of attractive benefits some of these include:

Key Responsibilities
Network and Infrastructure Engineering:
- Configure and troubleshoot 2nd/3rd line network infrastructure and firewall solutions.
- Deliver on-site and remote project engineering services, ensuring client satisfaction throughout.
- Act as a key technical resource in the pre-sales process, scoping and designing best-practice solutions for clients.
- Conduct comprehensive technical assessments, generating detailed reports and recommendations.
IT Support and Project Delivery:
- Provide ongoing 2nd/3rd line support to IT managers and teams at client sites.
- Manage and support solutions involving next-generation firewalls, wired and wireless networks, and server/storage technologies.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of projects, ensuring smooth project execution and post-implementation support.
Collaboration and Client Engagement:
- Engage clients with a consultative approach, offering expert technical advice and guidance.
- Work with colleagues and clients to develop technology roadmaps and ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.
- Keep the company CRM and PSA systems up to date and collaborate with the wider team to maintain a positive customer experience.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in 2nd/3rd line network and firewall configuration.
- Strong understanding of networking principles (DNS, DHCP, IP Subnetting, Routing).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Fortinet NSE4 (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of web filtering, email protection, and Aruba wired/wireless networking.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK driving license and the ability to travel for work.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within the education sector, particularly independent schools.
- Familiarity with Securly, Barracuda, Hyper-V, Veeam, and Sophos technologies.
- Strong project management and presentation skills.
