Description

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and results-driven Sales Lead / Business Development Manager to join a well-established and dynamic EdTech company. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales within the education sector, or someone who has recent experience working in schools or as a school administrator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth across the UK, specifically targeting Multi Academy Trusts and schools.

Location: Home-based / Remote (with regular visits to the company offices)
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE + OTE
Benefits: 23 days paid annual leave (rising to 25 days after 2 years), plus Bank Holidays, excellent induction and training, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

New Customer Acquisition and Sales Growth:

  • Identify and engage with potential new customers, focusing on Multi Academy Trusts and schools (primary and secondary).
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within schools and trusts.
  • Lead on sales activities and pursue new business opportunities to achieve agreed targets.
  • Deliver software demonstrations (both on-site and online) to prospective customers.
  • Produce customer quotations, negotiate, and successfully close sales.
  • Represent the company at relevant events, and work closely with the marketing team to generate leads.

Partnerships and Resellers:

  • Identify and initiate conversations with potential partners and resellers.
  • Lead and manage bids and tender opportunities, ensuring business growth.

CRM and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure accuracy in tracking leads and sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure effective lead generation and nurturing strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience within the education sector or recent experience as a teacher/school administrator.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and present to senior leaders in schools and trusts.
  • Confident and skilled in delivering product demonstrations and presenting proposals.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and working with sales data.
