We are supporting a prestigious and forward-thinking independent preparatory school in Chiswick, London. They are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior IT Engineer manage and support all aspects of their IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multiple sites.

Chiswick, London (On-site, across four sites) – Full-Time, Permanent – Up to £40,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits
The role offers a comprehensive benefits package including a salary of up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience), Monday–Friday working hours from 08:30–16:30 with occasional flexibility, and 27 days’ annual leave. Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support services across the school, ensuring smooth running of all systems and networks
- Manage end-user devices including Apple Macs, iPads, Chromebooks, and Windows 11 machines
- Administer JAMF School (MDM) and Google Workspace for Education
- Support and maintain classroom AV systems, interactive boards, and printers
- Oversee network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and domain controllers
- Deliver in-person and remote user support and IT training for staff and students
- Manage third-party suppliers and coordinate hardware/service procurement
- Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, licences, and compliance records
- Contribute to IT budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Support IT security, GDPR compliance, and safeguarding policies
- Lead or assist with IT-related projects as part of the school’s digital roadmap
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as a 2nd Line IT Engineer or Systems Administrator
- Strong knowledge of JAMF School, MacOS, iPadOS, and Google Chrome management
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and general IT systems support
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and comfortable being the main IT contact on-site
- Excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to explain IT clearly to non-technical users
- Desirable: experience in the education sector, AV support, and networking (switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, etc.)
