The Role
An established education institution based in North London and Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced MIS and Data Manager to lead the strategic and operational development of its core data systems, with particular responsibility for iSAMS.
This is a key role supporting senior leadership, academic departments and operational teams, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and used effectively to support decision making, reporting and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
MIS Strategy, Systems and Digital Development
- Lead the strategic development and effective use of iSAMS
- Identify opportunities for automation, integration and workflow improvement
- Oversee system configuration, modules, permissions and data architecture
- Develop and maintain integrations between iSAMS and other platforms
Reporting, Analytics and Decision Support
- Design and produce SQL based reports and dashboards
- Develop automated and scheduled reporting processes
- Provide analysis to support senior leadership decision making
- Support academic and pastoral teams with data interpretation and performance tracking
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with institutional needs
iSAMS Administration and Academic Year Processes
- Act as the institution’s lead iSAMS administrator and subject matter expert
- Manage academic year rollover processes, including year group transitions and curriculum updates
- Maintain and develop system modules and configuration
- Configure templates, reports and gradebooks
- Troubleshoot system issues and manage resolutions
- Maintain clear system documentation and processes
Training, Support and Collaboration
- Provide training and guidance to staff on effective use of iSAMS
- Work collaboratively with academic, pastoral and operational teams
- Support continuous improvement of systems, processes and workflows
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong experience administering iSAMS within a school or education environment
- Experience managing academic year rollover processes
- Strong SQL reporting and data analysis capability
- Experience supporting senior leadership with reporting and insights
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable
- Experience integrating iSAMS with other platforms
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI
- Experience improving workflows and system efficiency
