A specialist education technology provider supporting schools and Multi-Academy Trusts across the South East is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be based on-site at a well-established secondary school in Croydon, Surrey.
This organisation delivers modern, enterprise-grade IT infrastructure to the education sector and works closely with leadership teams to ensure reliable, secure and forward-thinking technology environments.
- Location: Croydon (Site based)
- Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 DOE + Bens
- Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Role
You will act as the dedicated on-site IT Engineer, providing day-to-day user support while administering and maintaining the school’s IT systems and network infrastructure. The school is investing in modern technologies to support next-generation teaching, offering strong technical exposure in a progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide responsive IT support to teaching and support staff
- Administer and maintain Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) environments
- Support Windows 11 devices and Microsoft 365 services
- Maintain wired and wireless networks, firewalls and filtering systems
- Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, mobile devices and AV equipment
- Keep users informed on issue resolution and system updates

Experience Required
- Experience working within a school / education background required
- Experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Exposure to Windows Server 2019/2022 environments
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (wired, wireless, firewall basics)
- Experience supporting end-user hardware and AV systems
- Must live within commutable distance of Surrey-based site
- Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance
