About the role

Working alongside the IT Manager, you will provide first and second line technical support.

This is a varied, hands on role combining day to day user support with involvement in a wider three year technology roadmap, including Windows 11 migration, cloud standardisation and improvements across the Microsoft environment.

The role is based onsite and would suit someone who enjoys working directly with users and resolving technical issues face to face.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second line IT support
• Support Microsoft 365, Windows and desktop environments
• Manage and support devices using Microsoft Intune
• Assist with user accounts, permissions and access
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Support laptops, desktops and other end user devices
• Assist with device deployment and configuration
• Contribute to Windows 11 migration and cloud projects
• Work closely with the IT Manager on wider technology improvements
• Provide a professional and responsive service to staff and users

About you

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician, Desktop Support or second line support role
• Practical experience using Microsoft Intune
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Knowledge of Active Directory and ideally Entra ID
• Good hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Experience providing hands on support to end users
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to get involved in projects

Previous experience working within education would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from corporate, MSP or other onsite IT support environments are encouraged to apply.
