An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Education Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation working with Local Authorities, Multi Academy Trusts, schools and wider education stakeholders.
Location: London, South East and East of England
Employment Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus uncapped commission
This is a consultative sales role focused on developing a defined region, building senior relationships and creating new business opportunities across education and public sector markets. About the role
You will manage the full sales process from prospecting and discovery through to presentations, proposals, negotiation and closing new business.
You will engage with senior stakeholders across Local Authorities, MATs, SEND, Inclusion, Alternative Provision and schools, positioning solutions that support positive outcomes within education.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage a regional sales plan
- Build relationships with Local Authorities, MATs, schools and education partners
- Engage senior decision makers across education, SEND, Inclusion and public sector teams
- Generate new business through outreach, LinkedIn, referrals, events and account development
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, proposals and negotiations
- Work with internal teams to support onboarding and long term customer success
About you
You will have experience in education, EdTech, SEND, public sector, Local Authority sales or wider education services.
You may currently be a Business Development Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, Partnerships Manager, Education Consultant or similar.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience selling into schools, MATs, Local Authorities or public sector organisations
- Strong new business and consultative sales skills
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Experience managing a territory or named accounts
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience within SEND, Inclusion, Attendance, Alternative Provision, mental health, wellbeing or education technology would be highly advantageous.
