An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to support five schools across Oxford and Banbury. About the role
You will provide day to day IT support across five schools, working closely with staff, school leaders and a wider central technology team.
The role will involve supporting users, resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software, monitoring networks and helping ensure IT systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support across five primary school sites
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Entra, Active Directory and Intune
- Support Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
- Diagnose hardware, software, printer and network issues
- Support switches, routers and network connectivity
- Manage user accounts, permissions and device access
- Maintain IT security, antivirus, backups and filtering systems
- Install and configure computers, applications and peripherals
- Maintain hardware and software asset records
- Escalate more complex technical issues when required
About you
You will ideally have:
- Strong IT support experience within a Windows environment
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra
- Knowledge of Intune and device management
- Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
- Strong network and hardware troubleshooting skills
- Confidence working independently across multiple locations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Previous experience within schools, education or another multi site environment would be advantageous.
Salary up to £40,000 plus excellent pension and benefits.
