GreatFind Recruitment is partnering with an established education technology provider to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT support who enjoys solving technical problems, building relationships with customers and developing their skills across a varied technology environment.
You will be supporting a portfolio of schools, providing technical assistance across Microsoft technologies, networking, infrastructure and everyday IT operations.

The Role
Working as part of an experienced technical team, you will provide IT support to schools, ensuring their technology runs effectively and that staff and students receive a reliable service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first and second line technical support across school IT environments
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows desktops and server environments
- Managing user accounts, permissions and access through Active Directory
- Diagnosing and resolving issues involving DHCP, DNS and network connectivity
- Supporting IT infrastructure, devices and applications across multiple sites
- Building positive relationships with school staff and providing excellent customer service
- Working alongside senior engineers to develop your technical knowledge and experience
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people as much as technology and is keen to progress their IT career.
Ideally, you will have:
- At least one year of professional IT support experience
- Good troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop environments
- Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- An understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server and networking fundamentals
- Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach
- A willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Previous experience supporting schools or working within an IT managed service provider would be advantageous, although candidates from other IT support environments are equally encouraged to apply.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this position.
