We are excited to be recruiting for a fast-growing SEND EdTech SaaS business, offering schools cutting-edge solutions that improve outcomes for neurodiverse learners.
Salary: circa £45,000–£50,000 base + Uncapped, performance-based commission
Markets: Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Special Schools, Mainstream Schools, Alternative Provision (AP)

Location: Remote (with 1–2 monthly visits to the Midlands office)

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll drive new-business sales across MATs, special schools, mainstream schools and APs. You’ll convert pipeline into ARR and expand early wins into multi-school rollouts. This role suits a consultative seller with first-hand SEND experience who can speak credibly with SENCOs, Heads, Trust leads and Local Authority stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline across MATs, special, mainstream and AP settings; forecast accurately and hit quarterly targets.
- Run discovery, tailored demos and solution design across the product suite.
- Orchestrate multi-stakeholder sales cycles, navigating procurement and budget processes.
- Create compelling proposals and ROI cases; negotiate and close new contracts.
- Land-and-expand single-school wins into MAT frameworks and renewals.
- Maintain CRM discipline (HubSpot), tracking KPIs and pipeline health.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, webinars and events.
- Provide feedback to Product and Clinical teams to inform roadmap development.
- Uphold safeguarding and GDPR compliance when working with schools.
What You’ll Bring
- First-hand SEND experience (e.g., SENCO, specialist teacher/therapist, EP/assistant, or substantive SEND role).
- Proven experience selling to UK schools or MATs (2+ years), ideally EdTech/SaaS.
- Strong consultative sales approach and solution mapping ability.
- Excellent written proposals and negotiation skills.
- Metrics-driven, with forecasting and CRM discipline.
- Confident communicator with senior education leaders.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling into Special Schools or AP.
- Familiarity with JCQ access arrangements, EHCP processes, MAT centralisation and LA commissioning.
- Knowledge of ISO/cyber standards (e.g., ISO 9001/27001, Cyber Essentials).
- Prior HubSpot experience.
