We're looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in GCP, dbt, Airflow, SQL, and Python to build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines. You’ll work closely with analytics and product teams to deliver clean, trusted data across the organization.

Job Title: Data Engineer (GCP)
Experience: 3+ years

Location – UK or Madrid, Spain

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ELT pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and BigQuery.
• Write efficient, testable SQL and Python code for data transformations and workflow automation.
• Monitor pipeline health and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and support analytics needs.
• Maintain clear documentation and follow best practices in version control and testing.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in a Data Engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer).
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data wrangling and scripting.
• Deep experience with dbt and Apache Airflow (preferably via Cloud Composer).
• Familiar with data modeling, version control (Git), and CI/CD.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data observability tools.
• Background in analytics or BI support.
• Knowledge of data governance and security practices in cloud environments.
