As the Finance Manager, you will manage the end-to-end finance function, from management accounts and reporting through to day-to-day financial operations. This Finance Manager position suits someone who enjoys autonomy, accuracy, and being the go-to person for all financial insight and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary
- Manage end-to-end finance operations including invoicing, payments and reconciliations
- Oversee VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare statutory accounts
- Monitor cashflow, reserves and financial performance
- Support internal stakeholders with financial insight and decision-making
- Maintain and improve financial processes where appropriate
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a standalone or number one Finance Manager role
- Strong experience producing management accounts independently
- Experience using accounting systems such as Xero (or similar)
- Strong Excel skills (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow reporting)
- Confident working with stakeholders and providing financial insight
- Highly organised, reliable and detail-focused
