GreatFind Recruitment is recruiting an experienced IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer for an established organisation within the education sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior IT Technician, IT Engineer or School IT Manager looking to take the next step in their career and move into a predominantly home based role.

Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
Location: Home Based / Remote (Ideally Central England)
Contract: Permanent
Travel: Site visits across England, with business travel expenses covered

The position offers flexibility, exposure to a variety of IT environments and the opportunity to support infrastructure projects across multiple education sites. Travel across the North and South of England will be required when necessary, with business travel expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite technical support across multiple locations.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure, servers and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with infrastructure upgrades.
• Contribute to IT projects, system improvements and technology deployments.
• Support cybersecurity, backups, device management and IT best practices.
• Work closely with technical teams and external suppliers to maintain reliable IT services.

Skills & Experience

• Strong IT support experience, ideally within a school or education environment.
• Good technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and Windows servers.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, wireless networks and end user devices.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, cybersecurity and backup solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to sites across England when required.
