IT Project Engineer (3rd Line) – West of England

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver robust network and infrastructure solutions both on-site and remotely.
- Provide technical pre-sales support and conduct technical assessments.
- Deliver 2nd/3rd line support to in-house IT teams within schools.
- Lead projects involving firewalls, wired/wireless networks, cloud IaaS, storage, safeguarding tools, and backup solutions.
- Create documentation and ensure high standards of service delivery.
Technical Expertise Required
- Strong 3rd Line experience across networking, firewalls, and Windows Server.
- Hands-on knowledge of Fortinet (NSE4 preferred), Aruba, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID.
- Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, IP subnetting, routing, and email security.
- Experience working within ITIL-aligned service desk environments.
- Desirable: experience supporting IT services in school settings.

- Passionate about delivering IT services that support teaching and learning.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (occasional overnight stays).
