Are you an experienced IT support professional with a passion for technology and exceptional customer service? We’re working with a highly respected independent school in Harrow to recruit an IT Technician to join their friendly and collaborative ICT team.
Location: Harrow, North-West London
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00)

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a unique and historic school setting, providing vital support to staff and students across a diverse range of devices, systems, and AV equipment. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the school’s IT infrastructure, supporting both educational and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for IT queries from staff and students, delivering effective 1st and 2nd line support.
- Log, prioritise, and resolve incidents via the service desk platform.
- Support and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, mobile devices, printers, and telephony systems.
- Configure and deploy new hardware and software across the site.
- Assist with the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Install and support classroom AV and multimedia equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge base articles, and support guides.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers when required.
- Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role within a busy environment.
- Strong knowledge of desktop and mobile device hardware.
- Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain composed under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications).
- Experience with SCCM, Intune, or MacOS/iOS devices.
- Knowledge of AV technologies used in classrooms and IP telephony systems.
