Description
We are recruiting for a Sales Executive to join a growing education focused organisation based in Stockton.
This is an office-based role offering a salary of £30,000 to £32,000 plus commission. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective customers and managing your sales pipeline from initial contact through to close.
Previous experience selling into education would be advantageous, but we are also keen to hear from commercially minded sales professionals with strong business development and relationship building experience.

About the role
You will work as part of an established sales team, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with customers across the education sector.
The position combines new business development with relationship management, giving you the opportunity to develop accounts while continuing to generate new opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Generate leads and arrange meetings with prospective customers
- Build relationships with key decision makers
- Manage your own sales pipeline and opportunities
- Follow up marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries
- Deliver online product and service demonstrations
- Prepare quotations and relevant sales documentation
- Maintain accurate customer information and activity within the CRM
- Develop relationships with existing customers and identify additional opportunities
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
About you
We would be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in sales, business development, account management or customer relationship roles.
You should be:
- Confident speaking with prospective and existing customers
- Comfortable generating new business and developing relationships
- Commercially driven and motivated by achieving targets
- Organised with good pipeline and CRM management skills
- A strong communicator with the ability to build long term relationships
- Comfortable delivering presentations and demonstrations
- Experienced within education sales or services would be advantageous, although this is not essential
This could be particularly suitable for someone currently working as a Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Account Executive, Education Sales Executive or Junior Business Development Manager or Sales Development Representative (SDR) who is looking for their next opportunity.
