A leading independent education provider is seeking a Data Manager to take ownership of its data systems and reporting infrastructure, ensuring accurate, high-quality insights across the organisation. The Data Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting decision making through robust data management, reporting, and system optimisation. This Data Manager position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, enhancing core platforms and delivering impactful data solutions across the school.

Perm | £50,000 – £55,000 | Greater London

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using SQL, SSRS and Power BI
• Manage and maintain core databases, including data warehousing, integrity, and performance optimisation
• Act as the lead for the school’s MIS system and e-learning platforms, driving enhancements and usability
• Collaborate with academic and operational teams to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions
• Develop and publish reports via SQL Server tools including SSIS and SSRS
• Ensure data accuracy through regular validation, cleansing, and adherence to best practices and GDPR compliance
• Support data-related projects including exam analysis, census submissions, and reporting cycles
• Provide training and ongoing support to staff, promoting best practices in data usage and systems

Person Specification

• Strong experience as a Data Manager or in a similar data-focused role
• Advanced SQL skills, including query writing, database management, and reporting
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, and data visualisation tools
• Proven ability to manage and develop reporting solutions and dashboards
• Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to data accuracy and quality
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical stakeholders
• Available to work occasional Saturday / evening as required
