IT Engineer – Education MSP

A specialist managed service provider supporting schools and SME clients is seeking an IT Engineer to join their growing technical team. This IT Engineer role is based out of their South West London office, supporting a range of education and business environments with day-to-day IT issues, infrastructure support and cloud technologies.

As an IT Engineer, you will provide first and second line support across Microsoft, Google and network environments, acting as a key escalation point within the service desk. This IT Engineer role is ideal for someone with MSP or education IT experience who enjoys a fast-paced, varied support environment.

South-West London | £30,000 – £35,000 DOE | Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd line support across education and SME client environments
• Log, manage and resolve service desk tickets within SLA targets
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure and Google Workspace environments
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server-related issues
• Support networking issues including switches, Wi-Fi and firewalls
• Escalate complex issues to 2nd/3rd line engineers where required
• Deliver remote support and occasional onsite assistance
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems and resolutions

Person Specification

• Experience in an IT Engineer or MSP support role
• Strong knowledge of Windows environments and troubleshooting
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and/or Azure
• Exposure to Google Workspace administration
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Education sector experience desirable
