Technical Sales Specialist – EdTech

Up to £75,000 per annum | Permanent | 100% Remote (UK) with regional travel

A fast-growing global EdTech provider is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to act as the key technical bridge between sales, engineering and customers. This Technical Sales Specialist role supports the deployment of technology solutions across education environments worldwide, helping schools enhance engagement, collaboration and digital learning experiences.

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will own the technical engagement throughout the sales and onboarding lifecycle, working closely with customers to configure and deploy solutions within their IT environments. This Technical Sales Specialist role is ideal for someone with strong networking and pre-sales experience who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer-facing delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main technical point of contact for the regional sales team
  • Support customers through evaluation, onboarding and implementation stages
  • Configure and deploy the technology within customer IT environments
  • Provide technical guidance on wired and wireless networking setups
  • Liaise with global engineering and support teams to resolve issues
  • Assist with RFI/RFP responses and technical documentation
  • Deliver pre-sales technical input for demos and customer meetings
  • Develop and document implementation plans and best practices

 

Person Specification

  • Experience in a Technical Sales Specialist, pre-sales or solutions engineering role
  • Strong networking experience (wired and wireless environments)
  • Experience with switch and firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  • Confident working in customer-facing, commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise Wi-Fi and LAN setups
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Education or EdTech experience highly desirable
